Programs with Additional Steps before Registration
Many of our programs allow students to be admitted into the program area but require extra steps that need to be completed before registering for classes. In most cases, these programs fill quickly and can only hold a certain number of students so early applicants that complete extra steps have the best chance at registration.
The following programs allow students to be directly admitted to the college in their program but require additional steps to register for occupational classes:

Health Science and Nursing
Many of our Health Science and Nursing programs can only accommodate only a limited number of students; therefore, students must complete additional requirements to qualify for certain programs.
Our college does not utilize wait lists for competitive admission Health Sciences and School of Nursing programs. Instead, Chattahoochee Tech uses a competitive admissions process to admit students into each program. Some of these steps may require placing the student into a holding program.
