Mission

The mission of Chattahoochee Technical College, a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, is to transform the lives of individuals and strengthen the workforce in the communities we serve through contemporary education.

The vision of Chattahoochee Technical College is to be the preferred choice for quality education and training in the communities we serve.

2025-2029 Goals and Objectives

  1. Enrollment—achieve student enrollment that respects our mission and values while positioning Chatt Tech for fiscal stability
    1. Increase the number of overall academic program students
    2. Increase the number of students registered in strategic growth area programs
    3. Increase the overall academic program student retention rates
    4. Increase the number of dual enrolled, dual achievement program, and high school equivalency students
    5. Increase the conversion rates of dual enrolled, dual achievement program, and high school equivalency students
    6. Identify underperforming programs and stabilize enrollment
  2. Student Success—increase the percentage of students progressing toward and completing their academic goals
    1. Improve access to courses and academic support services by offering flexible schedules for traditional and non-traditional students
    2. Create instructional environments and strategies that are relevant to workforce needs and career growth opportunities
    3. Meet or exceed licensure or certification pass rates for programs requiring licensure or certification  for employment
    4. Increase the number of overall graduates
    5. Increase the number of graduates in strategic growth area programs
  3. Institutional Quality and Resource Management—utilize all college resources to increase the effectiveness of programs, services, and internal operations
    1. Utilize facilities, equipment, and technology to improve college processes and to improve student learning and success
    2. Implement strategies to recruit and retain well-qualified employees
    3. Ensure adequate accessibility and safety of all campus facilities
    4. Maintain a stable financial base and sound fiscal practices
    5. Increase public and private financial support for the college
    6. Ensure a safe and secure physical and digital workplace
    7. Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the colleges programs and services
  4. Community Awareness—expand diverse and strategic partnerships in the communities we serve
    1. Increase college presence and engagement with communities in the college’s service area
    2. Align college programs with the needs of local employers
    3. Increase workforce opportunities through economic development offerings
    4. Increase the number of apprenticeship and internship opportunities
