Scholarships

Generous support from our donors allows the Chattahoochee Tech Foundation to offer student scholarships each year to assist with tuition and fees. Scholarship recipients are selected after committee review and awards are distributed Fall semester. The Foundation promotes the following scholarships:

  • Chattahoochee Tech Foundation Scholarships – Includes various scholarships established by our generous donors. Each scholarship has eligibility requirements based on the donor’s criteria. Some scholarships have additional criteria (ex: program of study, area of residence, etc.), therefore we request candidates to carefully review all eligibility requirements prior to applying.

Grants

Student Tuition Emergency Grants (for Tuition and Fees only)

Tuition Emergency Grants are available to help current students who are at risk of not continuing their education due to unexpected financial difficulties. The Foundation is committed to supporting student success. A student may be assisted through the emergency grant fund one time only. If approved, the Foundation will cover up to 50% of a student’s out-of-pocket tuition and fees for one semester.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a currently enrolled CTC student
  • Must have 18+ CTC credit hours
  • Must be able to obtain a letter of recommendation from a CTC faculty or staff member prior to the emergency grant acceptance deadline (details in THIS APPLICATION)
  • Must not be on financial aid suspension for less than 67% completion rate

Application Deadline

Spring 2017 Foundation Emergency Grant Application Acceptance and Deadline:
December 1, 2016 – January 6, 2017

Applications will be reviewed January 9-10, 2017. Decision letters will be sent via email before 12:00 noon January 11, 2017. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Student Emergency Assistance Grants

Emergency Assistance Grants are available to help current students who are at risk of not continuing their education due to unexpected financial difficulties. The Foundation is committed to supporting student success. A student may be assisted through the emergency grant fund one time only. Funds are limited to a maximum of $500 paid directly to a vendor. Applications are accepted year-round.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a currently enrolled CTC student
  • Must have 18+ CTC credit hours
  • Must be able to obtain a letter of recommendation from a CTC faculty or staff member prior to the emergency grant acceptance deadline (details in THIS APPLICATION)

Faculty/Staff Conference Grant

The Faculty/Staff Conference Grant was established to assist full-time faculty and staff with costs associated with attending professional conferences essential to staying current in their field. As college budgets have tightened, the Foundation offers 10 (5 faculty, 5 staff), $1,000 grants to approved faculty and staff applications each semester each academic year.

Applications will be accepted the beginning of each Fall and Spring semester. All grants are first come, first serve availability for eligible applicants. Applications are submitted to the respective Direct Supervisor and approved applications are forwarded to the applicant’s Vice President for review and final approval. Faculty and Staff members who have won a Conference Grant may reapply after three (3) years.

Spring 2016 Grant Application Acceptance begins: December 1, 2015, 8:00 a.m.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Full-time Faculty or Staff at Chattahoochee Technical College
  • Approval from Direct Supervisor
