Military Tuition Assistance

The Military Tuition Assistance (TA) program is available to active duty, reservists, and National Guard service members. Prior to enrolling at Chattahoochee Technical College, all service members (active duty, reservists, and National Guard members) using military Tuition Assistance are directed to speak with their Educational Services Officer (ESO) or counselor within their Military Service to determine their eligibility and process.

Tuition Assistance (TA) currently pays up to $250 per credit hour upon approval from the military branch, but no more than the current tuition rate being charged by the college. Per regulations, if eligible, HOPE/Zell grant/scholarship must be applied towards tuition first. All fees must still be paid by the student or other financial aid funding sources.

Once Tuition Assistance is approved and classes entered in the AI or AIM Portal, students should email the TA Authorization to the Office of Student Accounts at cashier@chattahoocheetech.edu. When the TA Authorization is received, the schedule for the semester is saved from the payment deadline purge and Student Accounts will invoice the military funding source for the tuition.

Students receiving Military TA are encouraged to apply for other sources of financial aid by completing the FAFSA each academic year. Please contact your Financial Aid Counselor or come to a FAFSA Workshop for assistance.

Support Services

Chattahoochee Technical College offers a Veteran Support team at our Superior Plumbing VECTR Center on the Marietta Campus to assist Veterans and Service Members seeking information on the Tuition Assistance (TA) program, Title IV funding and VA educational benefits. They are familiar with institutional services for Service Members who are seeking information about academic counseling, financial aid counseling and job search support. They can also provide information about other services regarding campus and community resources. In addition, our Financial Aid Veteran Education Benefits team can assist with Chapter 30, 31, 33, 35, and 1606 certifications for those no longer on active duty or reserves.
