Campus Concern

Chattahoochee Tech logo

At Chattahoochee Tech, we are committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for our students, faculty, and staff. As part of our ongoing safety and wellness efforts, Chatt Tech has established the Chattahoochee Tech Assessment, Response, and Evaluation (CARE) Team—a group of specially trained professionals dedicated to responding to concerns and connecting individuals with the right resources.

The CARE Team provides coordinated support for members of our campus community who may be facing mental health challenges, behavioral concerns, personal hardships, or issues related to substance use and addiction, among other difficulties.

Chatt Tech Assessment, Response, and Evaluation (CARE) Team

Across the nation, colleges and universities are taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and well-being of their communities. In alignment with guidance from the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), Chatt Tech’s CARE Team was formed to identify and assist campus members who may be experiencing distress, demonstrating concerning behavior, or facing personal challenges.

The CARE Team takes a collaborative, compassionate, and strategic approach to identifying and addressing concerns early—helping individuals access support and stay connected to their academic and professional goals. The team’s mission is to promote safety, care, and success for every member of the Chattahoochee Tech community.  Comprised of representatives from Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Human Resources and Campus Police, the CARE Team meets monthly to review reports and coordinate responses.

Campus Community Responsibilities

Maintaining a healthy and secure campus is a shared responsibility. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to speak up and report any behavior or situation that could impact the well-being or safety of others. By taking action early, we can provide support, prevent harm, and strengthen the caring community that defines Chattahoochee Tech.
