The Chattahoochee Tech Foundation is pleased to announce the election of Douglas J. Simmons to its Board of Trustees, effective immediately. Simmons, a Software Engineer at Cox Communications, brings over two decades of experience in technology, leadership, and community engagement to the Foundation’s mission of supporting students and programs across the six-county service area.
Simmons is a dynamic and purpose-driven leader who has spent 25 years committed to innovation and operational excellence. He is actively involved with his community and fraternal affiliations and is a member of the Leadership Cobb Class of 2025.
“We are fortunate to have Douglas Simmons join our Board of Trustees”, said Jennifer Nelson, Vice President of Advancement. “His multi-faceted leadership experience and presence in the South Cobb community will help support our college’s mission to transform the lives of individuals and strengthen the workforce in the communities we serve through contemporary education.”
The Chattahoochee Tech Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the mission of Chattahoochee Technical College by making higher education an affordable reality for students through initiatives like scholarships, emergency funding and program support. The Foundation’s Board of Trustees has been consistently recognized as a Role Model Board by the Technical College Foundation Association.
