The Chattahoochee Tech Foundation has awarded 109 scholarships valued at $112,000 to Chattahoochee Tech students in order to help these students with advancing their educational and career goals.
The scholarships, which range from $500 to $2,500, have been awarded to students who represent a wide variety of programs at Chattahoochee Tech, according to Chattahoochee Tech Advancement Coordinator Amanda Henderson. “We’ve been able to award more scholarship funds to students than ever before at a time when scholarships may be the only way for these students to continue their studies at Chattahoochee Tech,” said Henderson. “We’re thankful for our steadfast donors who step up to provide funding for our students no matter the current circumstances.”
Scholarship recipients competed against hundreds of student applicants throughout the college, and the top applicants were matched with the appropriate scholarship. In addition to meeting the special criteria for certain scholarships, scholarship recipients also had to meet specific GPA requirements, demonstrate financial need, and be enrolled for a specified number of credit hours.
“These scholarships make a huge impact on getting students into the workforce,” said Chattahoochee Tech Foundation Board of Trustees Chairman Jason Anavitarte. “Our donors are supporting not only the educational goals of our students, they are supporting the workforce needs in our community.”
