Chattahoochee Tech Celebrates Business and Technical Studies Program Advisory Committees

Chattahoochee Technical College hosted its fourth annual appreciation event on Thursday, March 5, for the industry professionals who serve on program advisory committees for the college’s business and technical studies programs. Nearly 200 people attended this event, which was held at the Chattahoochee Tech North Metro Campus.

“The goal of this event is to celebrate and express our appreciation to the industry representatives who give their time to serve on our program advisory committees,” said Chattahoochee Tech Dean of Business and Technical Studies Marcy Smith. “They serve a valuable role in letting us know where we need to be in terms of preparing our students to go into the workforce.”

There are currently 27 programs of study in business and technical studies at Chattahoochee Tech. These programs of study prepare students to become highly skilled professionals in career fields that include business; computer information systems; digital media technologies; public and professional services; building, manufacturing and engineering technologies; and transportation. “We have a program in business and technical studies, or a health program, with viable career options for any student,” said Chattahoochee Tech Vice President of Academic Affairs and Economic Development Jason Tanner.
