Respiratory Care
The Respiratory Care program consists of a planned sequence of courses designed to prepare students for careers as Registered Respiratory therapists (RRTs) in diverse settings such as hospitals, home care, outpatient, and critical care. Educational experiences within the program develop the academic, technical, and professional competencies necessary for job entry, career retention, and professional advancement. Instruction emphasizes specialized content and skills including ventilation, patient assessment and treatment, cardiopulmonary pathology and pharmacology, and pediatric and neonatal respiratory care.
Graduates of the program are awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree in Respiratory Care and are eligible to pursue the credentialing examinations required to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Chattahoochee Tech is currently pursuing accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) and anticipates accepting their first cohort of students that have completed all pre-requisites in Spring 2027.
