Info Page Header Graphic

Disability Support Services (DSS) at Chattahoochee Tech agrees to provide professional, qualified Sign Language Interpreters and Captionist, Reader/Scribes in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for classes, tutoring sessions, meetings with faculty, counselors, adv. DSS Staffers, etc., and other school-sponsored and class-sponsored activities. If time permits, the DSS STAFF will notify your instructor and will provide guidelines for working with an interpreter/CRS.

The DSS Services office asks that you adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Submit all requests on time. Requests for classes should be submitted four (4) weeks prior to the start of class. We will accept requests later, but cannot guarantee that you will have an interpreter on the first day of class. Important Note: If you change your schedule before the start of the semester, you must let the Disability Support Services staff know. Failure to alert the DSS staff may result in a delay in having your interpreter/captionist available at the beginning of the semester. This includes any changes to your initial schedule or changes made during the drop/add period.

2. Be as specific as possible. Fill ins based off your schedule from MY CTC: Class Number, Class Name, Days, Class Start Time, End Time, Campus, Building, Room #, Duration of Course (begin date/end date).

The Disability Support Services Accommodation Request Form is to be used only for students who are registered with Disability Support Services and who have Interpreter/CRS accommodations on file.
