VECTR Center

Veterans Education Career Transition Resource Center

The VECTR Center is a welcome space that works in close synergy with its partners to ensure that Veterans are getting the help they need.

The Superior Plumbing VECTR Center, located on the Marietta Campus, provides academic transition support for veteran students and their dependents and provides referral services for veteran community members. Representatives from various veteran support agencies will be on-site to offer assistance as well. Inside the building, veteran students can relax and enjoy the Jim Cunningham Veterans Lounge or meet with our VA certifying official. Also housed in the Center is the Office of Career Development and the Counseling department.

If you are an agency that offers community support to the veteran community and would like to schedule a visit to the Superior Plumbing VECTR Center to serve our students and community, please contact us.

Support Services

The VECTR Center offers many support services for Veterans.

  1. A Veteran can call, email, or walk into the VECTR Center to discuss any Veteran-related issue with a knowledgeable person to determine a course of action. Sometimes, that will mean getting the assistance they need right on the spot. In any case, it will mean the Veteran will get the help he or she needs.
  2. The VECTR Center has a number of resident service providers who offer assistance at the Center. In addition to Chatt Tech staff members who can assist with education, employment, and transition issues, resident providers include:
    • Connecting Georgia Veterans (470) 479-1551 (Monday – Thursday, 9 am – 5 pm, Friday, 8 am – 1 pm) – connecting struggling veterans with the services they need, emergency lodging and case management for homeless veterans.
    • Georgia Department of Veteran Services (GDVS) – Veteran Service Officer (770) 528-4920 (Monday – Thursday, 9 am – 4:30 pm, Friday, 8 am – 1 pm) – benefits assistance, appeals support, skilled nursing home care and compassionate cemetery committal services.
    • VA Marietta Vet Center (770) 423-7800 (Monday — Thursday, 8 am — 4:30 pm) – mental health counseling for depression, PTSD and MST.
    • TCSG Work Source GA (470) 202-5629 (Thursday, 10 am — 2 pm) – employment services and job search needs. Talk with representative virtually using kiosk. (Mon – Thurs 8 am – 4 pm, Friday – 8 am – 1 pm.)
    • The Warrior Alliance (404) 210-1776 (Tuesday, 8 am – 4:30 pm) – helping service members, veterans and their families through a total care network.
    • VFW (833) 564-6839 (Varies) – claims, benefits, grants and student support.
  3. Veteran group meetings and training. The VECTR Center has a classroom, a “flex” room, an interview room, and a huddle room that can be reserved at no cost for Veteran-related meetings and training sessions.

The VECTR Center represents the commitment this community continues to make to assure our Veterans know they are appreciated for their service and are provided the resources and benefits they have earned.
