Lactation/Medical Spaces

Info Page Header Graphic

Chattahoochee Technical College offers dedicated spaces for students to utilize for lactation and/or medical needs.  These spaces allow for nursing/pumping mothers and/or students with medical needs to have access to secure, private spaces while on campus.  For example, if a student has a medical need (such as needing to inject insulin, or needing a private space to calm down during a panic attack), these rooms can be utilized.  Below is a list of the designated spaces across all of our campus locations.  If students know in advance when they will need to room (i.e. a scheduled visit regularly throughout the semester), then the student can schedule a time frame to reserve a space.  Please submit your request at least 72 hours in advance.  If a student needs the space in a more emergent need (i.e. unplanned medical crisis, mental health concern, etc.), campus police or facilities can unlocked these spaces for students to use as needed.

Please note, these rooms are meant to be used for lactation purposes or medical needs only – these rooms are not private study spaces or hang out spaces for students.  Ideally, these rooms should be used for a short stent of time, in order to allow for the nursing mother or medical intervention to take place.  These rooms are meant to be used in private, thus only one student should be in the space at a time.
