Chattahoochee Tech Foundation Welcomes Charles Hagins and Joe Stockman to Board of Trustees
The Chattahoochee Tech Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Hagins and Joe Stockman to its Board of Trustees. Both leaders bring extensive professional expertise, a strong commitment to community service, and a passion for workforce development that aligns with the Foundation's mission of supporting Chattahoochee Technical College, its students, and its academic programs.
The Foundation's Board of Trustees is responsible for ensuring the organization remains financially sound and effectively fulfills its mission. Trustees serve as advocates for the Foundation throughout the College's service area and provide valuable guidance in development, engagement, management, and strategic planning. The Board has been recognized as a Role Model Board by the Technical College Foundation Association for its commitment to advancing the College and promoting best practices in foundation governance.
Charles Hagins serves as Northwest Metro Regional Operations Manager for Atlanta Gas Light, a Southern Company Gas subsidiary, where he oversees one of the company's largest service territories. He leads operations supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of natural gas service to more than 300,000 customers across eight North Georgia counties.
With more than 15 years of progressive leadership experience, Hagins has built a distinguished career in utility operations, workforce development, resource management, customer service, regulatory compliance, and executive leadership support. During his tenure with Atlanta Gas Light, he has served in roles of increasing responsibility, including regional operations leadership and Assistant to the President and CEO of Atlanta Gas Light and Chattanooga Gas. His combination of frontline operational experience and executive-level leadership provides a unique perspective on strategic planning and organizational growth.
Hagins earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Valdosta State University and is a graduate of Leadership North Fulton. He is recognized for his commitment to safety, operational excellence, employee development, and community engagement.
Joe Stockman is the owner of BODYBAR Pilates East Cobb and BODYBAR Pilates Vinings, as well as founder of Raise the Bar Business Coaching and Consulting. A certified life coach and business consultant, Stockman has extensive leadership experience spanning entrepreneurship, coaching, and corporate business development.
Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Stockman enjoyed a successful international career in the pulp and paper chemical industry. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales North America for Kemira Chemicals, the world's largest supplier of chemicals to the pulp and paper industry, where he led a team of 160 employees responsible for a $350 million business.
Stockman holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Juris Doctor from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College. He is actively engaged in the Cobb County community and currently serves as President of the Vinings Cumberland Rotary Club and as a member of the Cobb Schools Foundation Board. His extensive community leadership also includes service with numerous civic, educational, and nonprofit organizations throughout the region.

As the 501(c)(3) organization supporting one of Georgia's largest technical colleges, the Chattahoochee Tech Foundation provides scholarships, emergency assistance, program support, equipment funding, and other resources that help students succeed inside and outside the classroom. Through partnerships with businesses, alumni, and community supporters, the Foundation plays a vital role in creating educational opportunities and strengthening the workforce throughout North Georgia.
