What are the Health Sciences?

The Health Sciences Division at Chattahoochee Technical College offers a variety of degree, diploma, and certificate programs that prepare graduates for employment in the dynamic environment within the vital health care industry. We offer programs that support every aspect of health care, from nursing to medical records management. A word about our community partners…

All Health Sciences programs at Chattahoochee Technical College include classroom and hands-on clinical instruction. In the classroom, your instructors will be leaders and experts in their respective fields. Your clinical education will give you in-depth, hands-on experience at some of our nation’s top health care institutions. CTC students participate in clinical education with some of the area’s most prominent healthcare providers, including:

  • Cartersville Medical Center
  • Grady Hospital
  • Northside
  • Piedmont
  • WellStar

Additionally, students are placed in a wide variety of physicians’ offices, rehabilitation clinics, long-term care facilities, and ambulatory care facilities throughout the college’s service area.

All of our Health Sciences programs exceed state and national averages on state and national licensure examinations. Our graduates are employed by the top health care providers in the state. The program admission process for the Health Sciences Division is designed to select students with the best aptitude for each program based on a variety of factors, including students’ grades in pre-requisite courses and scores on standardized tests.
