Connecting the Pieces: Where the Classroom Meets the Workplace

An internship is a form of experiential learning to help current students connect what they are learning in the classroom with hands-on experience in the workplace. Internships are a vital component of career development.

1. Search for an internship via Handshake or any other job searching site and apply.

• Review the company’s information and use it to customize your application documents.

• If you need assistance with your resume or cover letter, please submit them for review along with the position description via Handshake or email Career.Services@ChattahoocheeTech.Edu

2. Interview and secure your internship position.

• If you need assistance with interview preparations, please contact the Office of Career Development.

3. Collect the emails of your internship supervisor and your faculty instructor for the class.

4. Read the directions listed on the Request an Experience Student Guide.

5. Log in to Handshake to complete the G.L.O.W. Internship Experience request.
