What is Online/Distance Learning?
Chattahoochee Technical College is committed to offering students a variety of instructional delivery methods. Courses are delivered as online, hybrid, and Web-enhanced. Online courses deliver all content and instruction off campus with the exception of one or more proctored events, which must be completed in person. Hybrid courses deliver content and instruction partially online and partially at one of Chattahoochee Tech’s campuses where students meet in a classroom. Web-enhanced courses deliver all instruction in a traditional Chattahoochee Tech classroom but offer supplemental content online. All students at Chattahoochee Tech should be prepared to complete assignments and receive instruction online regardless of which delivery method they choose.
Online Courses and Proctored Events
All courses at Chattahoochee Technical College require students to complete a minimum of one proctored event on a specified campus on a specific day and time. Alternative proctoring arrangements different from those scheduled must be approved by the instructor of the course.
It is critical that all students taking online courses have active CTC student email accounts before they begin their coursework.
CTC uses Blackboard to deliver all online content. Complete instructions for getting started with Blackboard, including log-in instructions, appear on Blackboard’s log-in page:
Instructors may upload publisher-provided content, such as e-books and access to password-protected Web sites, into their Blackboard courses, and this content usually requires students to have a key or password separate from their Blackboard user names and passwords. Students must get information about this publisher-provided content from their instructors.
