The Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
WIA stands for Workforce Investment Act and was established in 1998 to prepare adults and dislocated workers for entry and re-entry into the workforce. WIA training funds are designed to serve laid-off individuals and eligible, low income adults who are in need of training to enter or re-enter the labor market.
WIA at Chattahoochee Technical College serves three workforce regions. Your region is determined by the county you reside in or the county of the employer who laid you off.
