BLS (Basic Life Support) For Healthcare Providers (2015 Guidelines) $60

This classroom course delivers training to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. For those seeking initial or renewal training that provides a BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card.

***Initial Course is 4.5 hours; Renewal Course is 4.5 hours

Basic Life Support Skills (BLS) Check Off $45

This course is the CPR/AED for Healthcare providers and includes adult, child and infant CPR with AED. Students who wish to complete this portion will receive their online key in an email in order to complete that portion. The fee for this portion is included in the $45. Within 30 days of successful completion of the online course, Healthcare Professionals will attend Part 2 (skills practice) and Part 3 (skills testing) at one of the selected dates.

BLS SKILLS CHECK – Spring/Summer 2016, North Metro

BLS Instructor Course $250.00

This course will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills required to teach courses for BLS for Healthcare Providers, HeartSaver First Aid, HeartSaver CPR with AED and all other HeartSaver courses. Attendees must either be in the Healthcare Field and carry a current 2015 Guidelines BLS for Healthcare Provider certification card or do the online updates for BLS and Heartsaver. If not in the Healthcare Field, you must carry BOTH a 2015 Guidelines BLS for Healthcare Provider card and a current Guidelines HeartSaver First Aid certification card. Attendees whose certification card is not the most current guidelines will be required to complete the online instructor updates. These courses are not an extra fee. You must bring this certificate with you to class. After completion of the instructor course, participants must choose from 2 dates to be monitored teaching a course. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

This course emphasizes the importance of basic life support (BLS), integration of effective BLS with ACLS interventions, and effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.The course is for professionals who respond to cardiovascular emergencies and require an initial or renewal ACLS Provider Course Completion Card.

***Initial Course: 10-12 hours; Renewal Course is 5-6 hours

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

This course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency respiratory management or cardiac arrest. The PALS course is for healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies, and for first-time or renewal training to obtain a PALS course completion card.
