Chattahoochee Tech Students Receive Awards at National Conference

(Acworth, Ga. – Aug. 2, 2017)

Members of Chattahoochee Technical College’s chapter of Phi Beta Lambda recently received three individual awards at the organization’s 2017 national leadership conference, held in Anaheim, California.

Coty Jones of Acworth placed eighth in US in Entrepreneurship Concepts, Charity Ledford of Dallas placed sixth in US in Impromptu Public Speaking and David John of Woodstock placed second in US in Marketing Concepts. Malak Elgaydi of Acworth competed in Advertising and Current Events in Business.

Four members of the chapter finished strong at the state competition in Atlanta, earning a spot at the National conference: John competed in the area of Marketing Management AAS Degree, Ledford in Early Childhood Care and Education AAS Degree, Jones in Marketing Management AAS Degree and Elgaydi in Marketing Management AAS Degree. They were joined by PBL Faculty Advisors, Business Management instructor Ryan Greene and Marketing Management Instructor Brian Moss.
