Chattahoochee Tech Foundation Honors Students with Reception

(Marietta, Ga. – August 29, 2013) The Chattahoochee Tech Foundation honored 30 students for their academic and community achievements at a reception for scholarship recipients. It was also an opportunity for scholarship donors to meet the student recipients of their scholarships at a reception on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 at the North Metro Campus of Chattahoochee Technical College.

“Scholarships play a vital role in recognizing the hard work of our students while defraying the cost,” said Chattahoochee Tech Foundation Executive Director Chris Knife. “The reception is the perfect opportunity for donors to meet the recipients and we all celebrate our students’ successes.”

From several hundred dollars to $2,500, the scholarships provide assistance for students in terms of tuition, fees, books and equipment necessary for success at Chattahoochee Technical College or in a career. During Fiscal Year 2012 128 students benefited from more than $103,000 in scholarships and emergency grants. Additionally, the Chattahoochee Tech Foundation provided funds to assist in the advancement of faculty, staff and programs at Chattahoochee Technical College.
